A Catholic priest of Onitsha Archdiocese Rev Fr Francis Udeaja last Sunday urged Christians to let their earthly choices be guided by God.
Fr Udeaja who gave the advice while preaching a homily reminded christians that God gave us freedom to make choices and take decisions but we needed to be guided by the spirit of God in order to make right choices that will not lead us astray or make us miss heaven.
” As human beings created by God, we have freedom of worship. We have also freedom to do good or bad. But as Christians our freedom of worship is limited to serving the living God and nothing else. In making choices, we must make the right choices by involving God in our decision making. If you relegate your God to background in decision making , you may end up regretting your actions that may be capable of destroying your faith in God.”
He reminded Christians that temptation comes everyday in our lives but it takes the grace of God to conquer such trials.
“As Christians, let us pray without ceasing and consult God in our choice making”, he counseled.
