Members of the Onitsha Archdiocesan League of Sacred Heart of Jesus last Sunday besieged the Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity, Onitsha where they celebrated their annual Love Feast with a thanksgiving mass.
In his brief homily,the presiding priest Rev Fr Francis Mary Udeaja,enjoined the members to remain steadfast in their faith and always look up to Jesus Christ for their salvation.
Fr Udeaja expressed delight at the large number of members who turned out for the mass,adding that their solidarity spoke a lot about their faith and belief in the sacred heart of Jesus.
He commended the leadership of the society for organising the love feast and charged them to always live by example and love for one another.
One of the highlights of the event was setting alight and burning of bags of petitions written by members and other faithful at the Basilica Square,Onitsha.
