As 2023 Laity week progresses, the Chairman Awada zonal Laity Council Onitsha Archdiocese Comrade Ben Chikezie aka Uzuakpndu last Sunday called on the Christians to always hold tenaciously to the words of God not withstanding the circumstances in the journey of our lives.
The chairman who made the call during a religious function at Basilica Onitsha stated that keeping the word of God and practising it in our daily lives makes us better Christians and heaven candidates.
He asserted that those who are keeping the word of God may not find it difficult to get assistance from God in the face of earthly challenges.
He further enjoined fellow Christians to be merciful at all times and show unconditionally mercy to others.
Comrade Chikezie also advised the Church members to take the laity week serious and attend the activities since they stand to learn more on how to live a Christian life that is pleasing to God, adding that Catholics should not take that opportunity for granted.
