The Immaculate Heart of Mary, Mother of Christ (IHM) Congregation hosted a Mass at the Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity in Onitsha on September 24, 2023, at 10 a.m.
The atmosphere at the Basilica was filled with great jubilation, further boosted by the presence of the Chief Shepherd of the Archdiocese, His Grace Most Rev. Valerian Okeke, who presided and offered words of encouragement during the Mass.
In his homily, Archbishop Okeke thanked God for the successful celebration of the sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Congregation, who have consecrated themselves entirely to Almighty God.
It was a joyful moment for the Immaculate Heart of Mary, with some members having dedicated themselves to this consecrated life for over 60 years, some for 50 years, and others for 25 years.
Archbishop Okeke emphasized that jubilees mark significant milestones in the journey of those dedicated to serving the Lord’s vineyard, signifying a time of thanksgiving for God’s graces and blessings. He also expressed gratitude to those who joined in prayer and well-wishing.
The Superior General of IHM, Mother Mary, expressed heartfelt thanks to Archbishop Okeke for taking time out of his busy schedule to celebrate with them. She also extended her appreciation to parishioners who had traveled from far distances to join in the celebration.
