It was a joyous occasion as sisters of Immaculate Heart Secretariat,Nkpor spent some time to appreciate their Superior General,Mother Mary Claude Oguh and her team for their numerous achievements in the past twelve years of their positive leadership of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Sisters (IHM)congregation.
The occasion which started with a thanksgiving mass also marked the patronal feast day of St Claude de Colombiere,the patron saint of the Superior General.
In his homily during the mass,Rev Fr Jude Udechukwu commended Rev Mother Mary Claude Oguh for taking after the footsteps of her patron saint,St Claude Colombiere who was an embodiment of the life of sanctity and excellence.
He hailed the Central Administration for their credible works and show of team spirit which led to erection of various structures for the congregation.
During the reception,the IHM Secretariat Administrator,Sr Mary Amanda Nwagbo while welcoming the guests pointed out that the occasion was specifically to celebrate the Superior General and to recognise the huge support of the Vicar ,Sr Mary Agnita Maduka and other officers.
In her remarks,Mother Mary Claude Oguh expressed appreciation to the organisers, to the priests and others who graced the occasion.
Among the priests are,Rev Fr Aloysius Ikekwe,Fr Samuel Nwadike and fr Raphael Ezeogu.
