On Sunday, March 30th, 2025, Hon. Uche Harris Okonkwo, the legislator representing Idemili North and South federal constituency, commissioned six classroom blocks he built at United Primary Schools, Amafor Nkpor. Additionally, he donated a table tennis stand and equipment to the youths.
Speaking after the commissioning, Hon. Okonkwo emphasized that the completed school building project aims to provide children in the area with full access to education. He stressed the importance of basic education in shaping the young minds that will lead tomorrow. Hon. Okonkwo also mentioned that he has been renovating and building new schools in his constituency, with towns like Obosi, Awka Etiti, and Abatete already benefiting from the ongoing project.




Furthermore, Hon. Okonkwo revealed that his foundation, Annie Okonkwo, is awarding scholarships to students and distributing books to schools in Idemili North and South federal constituency.
The regent of Nkpor town, High Chief Emmanuel Udeze, and Chief Raphael Obi commended Hon. Okonkwo for his efforts in providing education to the children in the area. Others, including Chief Justin Uzoegbu, Chief Mrs. Ogechukwu Ejiofor, and Hon. Eriobi Kosi Ochendo, praised the lawmaker for remembering the Amafor community.
Chief Sir Emmanuel Idemili, chairman of Amafor Nkpor, also expressed his admiration for Hon. Okonkwo’s exceptional wisdom in fulfilling his campaign promises, regardless of party affiliation. “He is simply a good man,” Chief Idemili added.
It’s worth noting that Hon. Okonkwo has been delivering on his campaign promises, empowering youths and women in his constituency. He has trained many youths in skills, provided financial empowerment, and installed solar energy lights in different markets.
