The Archbishop of Onitsha, His Most Rev. Valerian Okeke, has urged Christians to grow and sustain their faith in God.
Delivering his Homily during his pastoral visit to Holy Spirit Omagba Onitsha, last Sunday , Archbishop Okeke emphasized the importance of deepening one’s faith in God through prayer, reflection, and acts of kindness.
According to him, a strong faith in God enables Christians to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and hope.
He explained that a just man lives by faith, reminding Christians the transforming power of faith. “A man of faith can achieve impossibilities . With faith , God cannot be asleep in your problems”. Faith he said is a sigh of confidence in God, a sign of trust in the unlimited power of God, reiterating that with faith, you can do the impossible.
The Archbishop encouraged Christians to prioritize their spiritual growth by regularly reading and reflecting on the Word of God, participating in sacraments, and living a good life that defines them as good Christians.
He also urged them to demonstrate their faith through acts of love, kindness, and compassion towards others.
By living out their faith in this way, the prelate Okeke said, Christians can become a source of inspiration and hope to those around them.
The Archbishop’s message serves as a reminder to Christians of the importance of nurturing their faith and living it out in their daily lives.
