The Archbishop of Onitsha His grace Most Rev Valerian Okeke last Sunday, November 19, enjoined Christians to avoid envying others who where richly blessed by the Lord, but rather discover your own blessings and gifts and be contented with it.
The prelate gave the advise while preaching a homily during his pastoral visit to St Raphael De Archangel Parish Anumudu, Okpoko.
According to him, every one created by God is gifted with talents which if invested into a meaningful business or job, it will bear huge fruits.
“Don’t look at what God did for others. God didn’t deny you of His blessings. Discover your own gift and blessings and work hard to expand that gift. Also, use same gift to serve God and humanity.
Remember that at the last day, you will give account of how you utilized the talents God endowed you with.”
Archbishop Okeke also reminded faithful that generosity and kindness can open every door in someones life, emphasizing the need to be generous with our wealth, talents and blessings all the time.
