College of Nursing Sciences of  St Charles Borromeo Specialist Hospital  Onitsha will on Saturday, 30th of September, 2023 hold her 6th matriculation.
The college administrator Rev Fr Chukwunonso Fidelis Nwanze who disclosed this to Trinitas correspondent stated  that total of ninety nine 2022 set of students  are matriculating, asserting  that the

matriculation, would signify  they have been  properly accepted and inducted into the college and by extension, they have been properly indexed into the nursing council of Nigeria.

” What they stand to learn here is not only academics but social life. At graduation they will be proficient  both in character and learning since our college will  be bringing them out of the darkness of ignorance to the light of enlightenment.

We are happy to announce that the new gigantic school structure we  started erecting  in 2021 is at completion stage and will be available for use this academic session.”

The administrator disclosed that the newly admitted students for 2023 session will

 resum studies this October.

” Interesting to note that accreditation team from National Nursing council will be here middle of next month  October and hopefully once we emerge successful in that accreditation, it  will automatically qualify us to start awarding Ordinary National  Diploma ( OND) and Higher National Diploma  to our graduates.  We are also about to present our  graduating students for qualifying national Nursing council exam and  we are confident they will  perform excellently like our previous  set that scored hundred percent.

” We are also  working towards equipping this place with computers in order to start running computer based test as the courses here may require and  we will be using it to harness internal and external exams because the Nursing National council has directed college of nursing sciences to ensure students are acquainted with knowledge of Information Communication  Technology ( ICT) that is currently trending in our present age.   It can also  serve as CBT center for JAMB, WAEC  and NECO candidates”

The administrator further rained accolades on  Archbishop of Onitsha cum proprietor of the college His Grace Most Rev Valerian Okeke for his  constant  material support, social and spiritual support. ” He is always encouraging us to produce a conducive atmosphere for learning. It is  good to note that we have graduated  three sets of nurses and they are doing  very well in every country they found themselves. Some of our  graduates are now in UK, USA, Asia counties and some in Hungary. The information reaching us revealed that they are doing  very well,  and they are of high breed, showcasing the stuff they are loaded with.

Reports from UK disclosed that our graduates who are furthering their nursing programme are at  high  echelons of  academics. To be more precise, they are on the level of first class. One of them who graduated this year in overseas came out with first class. Also, three of  our graduates furthering their studies  in Hungary are in first class  cadre  and these excellent  performances are testimonies that our college of  nursing  sciences is impacting quality and finest knowledge in area of health care delivery which is exactly the mission and vision of our dear Archbishop  for establishing the college”.
