Members of Catholic Men Organization (CMO) St Anthony parish Nkpor last Sunday staged a colorful event to mark the 2024 fathering Sunday.
The event witnessed the launching of their almanac.
In his Homily during the Holy Mass that kick started the event, the parish priest Fr Tony Chukwu charged christians to respect one another at all time and never relegate anyone to the background. According to him, every one is important and no one should be ignored in belittled in the christian fold.
Speaking at the event, the Parish CMO chairman Mr Attanatius Nnabugo Agubata commended fellow members for their level of commitment in church activities, enjoining them not to relent. He further charged young married Catholic men to join CMO and support the church through organization, advising them not to distance them selves from the church activities
The planning committee chairman Sunday Emmanuel Mmadukaife and a member, Mr John Iwuanyanwu who is the current JDPC chairman Dunukofia region in their similar remarks called on fellow members to see the organization as vehicle for evangelism, urging them to always fund and support the activities of CMO.
The Parish Monarch Sir Aloysius Ezechinemelu expressed happiness over the event, praying God to bless Catholic fathers and help them to survive the current hardship I in the country.
Also, Mr Harrison Aniakor who chaired the event, congratulated fellow fathers for the successful event, asking God to bless and replenish their pockets.
