Thousands of members of the Onitsha North and South federal constituency yesterday trooped out to show sincere support for the APGA candidate for their constituency, Hon. Edward Ibuzo (liver to deliver), who staged a grand finale of his campaign at Ogboli Primary School, Onitsha.
The constituents, who spent the whole day at the said venue as a sign of solidarity for Ibuzo, unanimously agreed to cast their votes for him on Saturday, February 25, 2023.
A few constituents who spoke to the press, including Eche Obaze, Mofi Muofunanya, Anthonia Ononye, Blessing Megafu and others, eulogised Ibuzo for his giant strides as the legislator representing the Onitsha North ll constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, testifying that apart from the litany of infrastructural developments he has undertaken, he has really touched lives, empowered thousands of youth, and has not relented in giving free medical care to his constituents.
They expressed optimism that he will replicate the same quality representation at the green chamber, vowing to deliver him as their new representative for the federal constituency.
Ibuzo, speaking to journalists, urged the constituents, especially the youth, to fulfill their promises by voting for him on Saturday. “We need positive change now. When Buhari came to power, he confused us with change, but we made a mistake of not asking him what kind of change he was bringing to our people. We never knew it was a negative change, because looking at the prices of oil, petrol, rice and even the price of the dollar, you can see we are going down. Therefore, I am encouraging everybody to go and vote right for the presidency.
“Personally, I am canvassing for Peter Obi to be our next president. I am OBIdient for the presidency. But for the senate, representatives, let all the old politicians currently there go because they can’t work with Obi. We need fresh politicians including myself to go there and work with Obi for the positive change we are yearning for,” he said.
