The Metropolitan Archbishop of Onitsha,Most Rev Valerian Okeke has clocked 23 years of his episcopacy.
He was consecrated the Coadjutor Archbishop of Onitsha on 9th February 2002.
On that note,various parishes in the Archdiocese are quietly marking the anniversary with Masses of thanksgiving in gratitude to God for the life of the Archbishop and his successful episcopacy.
Following this development,an avalanche of goodwill messages have been pouring in from various individuals,groups, societies and organisations as well as from the business and political classes.
Archbishop Valerian Okeke was ordained priest on July 11,1981.He was appointed Coadjutor Archbishop of Onitsha on November 28,2001.
On February 09 2002,he was consecrated Coadjutor Archbishop of Onitsha and subsequently elevated to become the Archbishop and Metropolitan of Onitsha on September 01,2003.
Archbishop Okeke is a member of the Catholic Bishop’s Conference of Nigeria (CBCN).
His leadership as the Archbishop of Onitsha and Metropolitan of Onitsha Province,has been bringing remarkable achievements in the spiritual and material lives of his flock and the society in general.
