The Archdiocese of Onitsha has once again demonstrated it’s interest and love for the elderly as it recently joined the world in celebrating the World Day for Grand Parents and Elderly.
The Justice, Development Peace and Carnitas (JDPC)Onitsha Archdiocese led by it’s Executive Chairman,Rev Fr Edwin Udoye rolled out the red carpet for the elders at the Holy Cross Parish Nkpor with the theme “Blessed are those who have not lost hope”.

Joseph Ezeugo while Rev fr Edwin Udoye preached the homily.
Major highlights of the event include a talk on aging gracefully biologically, mentally, emotionally and physically.Other activities are,funfair,games like Ludo,handball, songs and dancing.
The elders were entertained with special delicacies and drinks.
About 62 participants attended the event.
Fr Udoye expressed gratitude to the parish priest Rev Fr Ezeugo and parishioners for hosting the event in his parish.
