The Metropolitan Archbishop of Onitsha Most Rev Valerian Okeke has congratulated Robert Cardinal Prevost on his successful election as the successor of late Pope Francis and the Vicar of Christ.
In a statement he released on his social media handle,the Archbishop expressed gratitude for the successful completion of the conclave.
“To the glory of God, we now have a new Vicar of Christ, Pope Leo XIV. We unite with the Holy Mother Church, in praying for him, to be less unworthy to this exalted sacred office. And may Christ always abide in him”,the Archbishop prayed.
