The Accreditation Panel of Council of Legal Education Nigeria,on Thursday, visited Shanahan University Onitsha for verification of facilities at the university’s faculty of law.
They were received at the temporary site of the university by the chairman,Shanahan university project,Rev Fr Basil Ekwunife who represented the Vice Chancellor of the university,Rev Fr. Prof.Josephat Obi Oguejiofor.
The verification and accreditation Panel was led on the visit by the Director General,Nigerian Law School Prof Isa Hayotu Chiroma,SAN.
The Anambra State Attorney General and commissioner for Justice,Prof Sylvia Ifemeje was part of the visit.
Other council members from the Nigerian Law School are,the Secretary of the panel Mr Dalmat Mamiso jnr,the Law School Librarian and Director,Dr Silas Akinwumi, Secretary to the Council of Legal Education and Director of Administration,Nigerian Law School,Ms Aderonke Osho and a Council member,Mr Muhammed Gambo.

In his remarks while receiving the visitors,the chairman,Shanahan University Project,Rev Fr Basil Ekwunife said the proprietor of the school though inadvertently absent was happy at their visit.He expressed joy on their visit and assured them of best students of Law in learning and character.In his own remarks,the Dean,faculty of Law,Rev. Fr.Professor Edwin Obimma Ezike promised that authorities of the university will act swiftly on the recommendations of the Council swiftly.
The Obi of Onitsha,His Majesty,Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe was represented by his Chief of staff,Chief Osita Anionwu (Ikeakatakwuani Onitsha).
