The parish priest of Holy Family Parish Akuzor Nkpor Rev Fr Alex Ojo Anosike last Sunday admonished parents to shun any attempt to sponsor their daughters on abortion mission when they mistakenly or deliberately got pregnant.
Fr Ojo gave who the advice while preaching a Sunday Homily explained that apart from the church doctrine that forbids abortion in its totally, Nigerian law also doesn’t permit the act of abortion.
According to him, an unmarried young girl who becomes pregnant no matter the circumstances that led to that should be allowed to give birth to a child since abortion is no option but a mortal sin that carries a lot of health implications.
“Anybody body who assist a female whether young or old to terminate a pregnancy is an accomplice who shared from the mortal sin of committing murder.”
The priest further enjoined Christians to shun any form of unwholesome characters such as leveling false allegations against your neighbours, character assassination, conspiracy etc since that are capable of killing someone’s soul.
