The Local Ordinary of the Catholic Diocese of Zaria, Most Rev Dr. Habila Tyiakonaboi Daboh has promised to support members of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in Nigeria (CCRN), of his diocese in their new form of rural apostolate.
The mission was disclosed by the Diocesan Chairman of the group, Bro Matthew Ezumezu, who conveyed their decision to empower Tsaunin Mayo and Dan Manu communities of the diocese by employing and paying teachers to teach them how to read and write, as a way of reaching out to them in the name of Christ.
His Lordship who had in 2024, intimated the body of the need for rural apostolate was overwhelmed with the update, thanking the leadership for embarking on the project.
“I am really happy with what the renewal is doing in Zaria diocese.” The bishop divulged. “It is my second experience. Last year, we were together, and I remember very well encouraging you on rural apostolate and you have taken that very seriously. You are rather taking more commitments by saying that you will ensure that those who do not know how to read will start learning how to read and write.”
“This is so important and may God bless you as you embark on that project. I want to say without mincing words that I am very happy with the rural apostolate. You have shown me determination and commitment. You have shown me that you are ready to do the impossible.”
“I want to encourage you once again, do not look back as you continue this rural apostolate. The God of all possibilities will make things possible in your lives in Jesus Name. I want to reassure you of my total support. I will happily and joyfully support your good plans to the later.”
Bishop Daboh prayed that God may always provide for them; meet them at their points of needs; and that they may always have something to share with the needy. He also rained blessings of divine provision; better condition of living; and answered prayers on them.
