Pope Francis encouraged members of the Catholic Philanthropy Network (FADICA) to remain steadfast in their mission of spreading Christ’s love, reminding them that love has the power to transform and change all things. The Holy Father addressed the group on Monday during their pilgrimage, symposium, and retreat in Rome.
Welcoming FADICA to the Vatican, the Pope expressed his hope that their time of reflection and prayer at the tombs of the Apostles and martyrs would deepen their love for the Church and strengthen their commitment to spreading the Gospel. He highlighted their role in building Christ’s kingdom of holiness, justice, and peace, emphasizing the transformative nature of their efforts.
The Pope expressed heartfelt gratitude for the support FADICA offers to the offices of the Holy See and their quiet encouragement of initiatives that enhance the life and mission of the Church in the United States. He praised the Network’s inherently “synodal” nature, noting how its members embody a spirit of common vision, collaboration, and shared commitment to the Church’s mission.
Pope Francis encouraged FADICA to sustain their spirit of solidarity and concern for others by cultivating gratitude for the Lord’s abundant blessings and fostering a deeper experience of the transformative power of Christ’s love. He urged them to continue finding joy in their efforts to share that love with the world.
Before imparting his Apostolic Blessing, the Holy Father entrusted FADICA to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, praying that they would remain inspired and united in their work of advancing Christ’s mission. He closed by expressing his hope that their philanthropy would continue to bring the light of faith, hope, and charity to communities in need.
