The Catholic Bishop of Aguleri Diocese, Most Rev. Dr. Denis Chidi Isizoh, has praised Rev. Fr. Victor Mbanisi, Parish Priest of SS John and Paul, Iba Pope Awada, for founding the Pope John Paul Music Academy.
During the academy’s fifth-anniversary celebration, Bishop Isizoh, through his secretary, Rev. Fr. Mike Odenigbo, expressed admiration for Fr. Mbanisi’s initiative. He shared his own passion for music, highlighting his efforts to promote it during his tenure as a teacher at All Hallows Seminary Onitsha.
Bishop Isizoh encouraged the academy’s organizers to continue their excellent work. Fr. Mbanisi thanked the bishop for his support and appreciation.
The anniversary celebration drew music enthusiasts from far and wide, including friends and well-wishers of Fr. Mbanisi and the SS John and Paul Catholic Church, Iba Pope Awada.
Igwe Ezeanayoyo of SS Peter and Paul Awada, a Catholic faithful in Onitsha Archdiocese, donated funds for the academy’s upkeep and commended Fr. Mbanisi’s administrative efforts in promoting the parish’s growth.
The event’s highlight was the cutting of the anniversary cake, led by Fr. Mbanisi and Bro. Chigozie, President of the music academy. The academy’s members thrilled the audience with selected performances.
The Pope John Paul Music Academy has become a beacon for musical talent and development in the region, and its fifth anniversary marks a significant milestone in its journey.
Fr. Mbanisi’s vision and dedication have created a platform for young musicians to hone their skills and share their talents with the community.
