With six days to go until the 2023 general elections, which start with the presidential and National Assembly elections on 25th February 2023, the Justice, Development and Peace Commission (JDPC), Archdiocese of Onitsha, has appealed to the Nigerian electorate to vote only for candidates with integrity and good conscience.
In a statement released to the media on Wednesday, the executive director of the JDPC, Archdiocese of Onitsha, Rev. Fr Edwin Udoye, pointed out that the election was an opportunity to flush out those who had held the Nigerian nation captive for many years.
Udoye posited that any party that distributes money to buy votes should be seen as enemy of the people and should not be voted for under any circumstance.
“The JDPC insists that the 2023 general election is devoid of vote buying. Anything short of that is fraudulent,” he said.
He called on all eligible voters to go out en masse and exercise their franchise to enthrone good governance.
